How does the AI story generation work?
EI Signal Stories uses advanced AI to transform your research papers into engaging narratives. Simply paste your text or upload your paper, choose a persona and genre, and our AI generates a creative story that makes your research accessible to any audience.
What input formats are supported?
Free users can paste text directly. Pro and Premium users can also upload PDFs (up to 10MB), fetch papers from ArXiv using paper IDs, import from URLs, and resolve DOIs automatically.
What are Visual Stories?
Visual Stories bring your content to life beyond text. Pro users get AI-illustrated scene pictures (10 stories/month) and a key insights card highlighting core findings. Premium users get unlimited illustrations, content privacy for unpublished research, and team collaboration — plus 5 bonus video stories per month (90-second shareable videos with narration and music). Library members can read all visual Signal Stories we publish for free.
What are the story length options?
Short (500-800 words): Quick summaries for busy readers. Medium (1000-1500 words): Balanced depth for general audiences. Long (2000-3000 words): Comprehensive narratives for detailed understanding.
Who are the target audiences (personas)?
We support multiple personas: Curious Kids (ages 8-12), Students (high school/college), General Public, Professionals, and Researchers. Each persona adjusts vocabulary, complexity, and analogies.
Is my content secure?
Yes. Content is transmitted via HTTPS, and we use OAuth 2.0 authentication. Your content is processed securely and is not stored on our servers beyond your session.
Can I share the stories I create?
Yes! You own the stories you create. We recommend attributing the original research source and noting that the story was AI-generated for transparency.
What are the plan prices?
Free: $0 (5 text stories/month, 2 email stories/month). Library: $3/month (full library access, 2 create + 5 email stories/month). Pro: $10/month (25 stories, 15 email stories, 10 illustrated, key insights card, all inputs). Premium: $35/month (50 stories, 50 email stories, unlimited illustrations, content privacy, team collaboration + 5 bonus video stories). Institution: custom pricing for universities and organisations.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of your billing period. All membership fees and story purchases are non-refundable.
