1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using EI Signal Stories ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

EI Signal Stories is an AI-powered Text-to-Story platform that transforms complex text into engaging narratives that anyone can understand. The Service accepts any text-based input — including academic research papers, technical documentation, medical notes, financial reports, educational content, and training materials — and uses AI to generate creative stories tailored to a chosen persona and audience.

Stories generated by the Service are creative retellings designed for accessibility and understanding. They are not reproductions, translations, or substitutes for the original source material.

3. User Accounts

• You must authenticate using a valid Google or Microsoft account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must not share your account credentials or API keys with others
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service

4. AI-Generated Content

When using our AI story generation features (text, illustrations, and video):

• Stories, scene illustrations, key insights cards, and animated videos are generated by AI and should be reviewed before publication or sharing
• AI-generated content — including images and video — may not be fully accurate, complete, or free of errors
• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all generated content before use
• Generated stories must not be presented as the original author's own words or as direct quotations from the source material
• When sharing or publishing a generated story, you must credit the original source text and its author(s)
• We are not liable for any issues arising from use of AI-generated content

4A. Visual & Video Stories

Premium subscribers have access to animated video story generation:

• Animated video stories are generated using third-party AI services and are subject to their acceptable use policies
• Video stories are limited to 5 per month on the Premium plan; unused credits do not roll over
• AI-illustrated scene pictures are available on Pro (10 stories/month) and Premium (unlimited) plans
• Generated images and videos may not be used to create deepfakes, impersonate real individuals, or produce misleading media
• You may share video stories with attribution to the original source material, consistent with Section 7
• We reserve the right to adjust video generation limits based on service capacity and cost

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or rate limits
• Generate content that is harmful, abusive, or discriminatory
• Use the Service to generate misinformation or fake research
• Resell or redistribute generated content commercially without attribution

6. Content Ownership

• You retain full ownership of the text content you submit to the Service
• We do not claim ownership of your original source material
• Generated stories are derivative creative works — you may use, share, and adapt them provided you comply with Section 7 (Copyright & Attribution) below
• You grant EI Signal Stories a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your submitted content solely for the purpose of generating your story
• You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit the content you provide (e.g., you own it, have permission, or it is publicly available under an open licence)

7. Copyright & Attribution

EI Signal Stories operates on a transformative use model. Generated stories are creative retellings — they reframe, simplify, and narrate ideas — not verbatim reproductions of the original text. This transformation is consistent with fair-use principles recognised in many jurisdictions.

Your responsibilities when sharing generated stories:

• Credit the original author(s) and source — always cite the original paper, document, or text that was used to generate the story. Example: “Story inspired by [Author Name], [Title], [Year/Source]”
• Label it as an AI-generated retelling — make clear that the story is a creative reinterpretation, not the author's own words or a direct extract
• Do not present it as original research — generated stories must not be cited as primary sources in academic, legal, or scientific contexts
• No commercial reproduction without permission — you may not sell or commercially republish a generated story that is based on copyrighted third-party content without explicit permission from the original rights holder
• Respect the moral rights of original authors — do not attribute false statements or conclusions to them through generated content

EI Signal Stories is not responsible for any copyright disputes arising from content you submit or stories you share. If you believe a generated story infringes your copyright, contact us at support@ei4aibooks.com and we will respond promptly.

8. Subscription and Payments

• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected
• Payments are processed securely through trusted payment gateways (Razorpay for INR, Stripe for USD)
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which you will not be charged again
• No prorated refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period. For billing issues or exceptional circumstances, contact support@ei4aibooks.com
• All prices for Indian users are in INR and inclusive of 18% GST. International prices are in USD
• We encourage you to try our free story credits before purchasing a plan
• Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that generated stories will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. AI-generated content should be reviewed before publication.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EI Signal Stories shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the account settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
